Welcome to the Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame. Established in 2002, the Hall of Fame was created to honor theatre artists and patrons of the arts for the Dayton, Ohio region. It is designed to acknowledge people whose life-long participation, innovation and creativity have influenced the Dayton arts culture. Any member of the Dayton arts community is eligible to apply or be nominated for this award. Anyone wishing to be considered or to nominate someone else for consideration is required to fill out an application to be evaluated by a nine-person selection committee. The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame is operated by volunteers and has been since its inception in 2003. The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame is a 501(c)3 Tax Exempt Organization. Operational costs are supported by the annual Hall of Fame and DayTonys Gala until such time when support from organizations, industry and the public can be developed to defray operating cost. Many sources of fundraising still need be explored and developed. This ultimately is the most important aspect of survival for The Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame. Donations are always needed and welcomed!
