Joe Deer

Inducted into the Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame, August 8, 2015.

Joe Deer, Director and Choreographer, is Head of Wright State University's Musical Theatre Program and a Human Race Theatre Company resident artist. In addition to directing more than 150 productions encompassing off-Broadway, regional, summer stock, and collegiate theaters, Joe has performed in Broadway and national tours of such shows as Anything Goes, Brigadoon and Singin' in the Rain. He is also the author of Directing In Musical Theatre: An Essential Guide, co-author of Acting in Musical Theatre (with Rocco Dal Vera), and the director of WSU’s Musical Theatre Initiative.
